English has many proverbs that people use in their life
and even the differnces between the arabic culture and the English
we find that any proverbs we use in our life has a similar equivelence in English
here i’d like to show u some of these familiar proverbs
A friend in need is a friend indeed الصديق وقت الضيق
Don’t look on the dark side of things لا تنظر للأشياء بمنظار قاتم
The adversities of a people at the people of benefits مصائب قوم عند قوم فوائد
A man is known by the company he keeps يعرف المرء بأقرانه
Birds of a feather flock together الطيور على أشكالها تقع
What can’t be cured must be indured ما لايمكن علاجه يجب احتماله
A stitch in time saves nine درهم وقاية خير من قنطار علاج
It was her own fault على نفسها جنت براقش
Beaty is in the eye of the beholder القرد في عين امه غزال |
